When you are feeling stressed, when your worrying about something, or you have anxiety about something, progressively relaxing muscle groups is a great way to feel better, to come back to yourself and start to feel calm and relaxed. So we'll start with the head and the shoulders, and you can close your eyes with this, you can just start to breathe. Closing your eyes, starting at the top of your head you want to gently release your forehead. Just let the muscles of your forehead go, and let the mind go. Let the grasp of any thoughts, anything that you're thinking about, just let your thoughts go. Let them become diffuse around your mind. Let your eyes go, allow your eyeballs to float in their sockets. Use your imagination and release your inner ears. Relax your jaw, let your jaw go, let your tongue go, and moving down your body, release the muscles in the back of your head, in the back of your neck, and moving down, just let your shoulders go. Really let gravity take their toll on your shoulder, just let them sink down, and from your neck and shoulders, you can continue down and relax the rest of your body. This is a great relaxation exercise because you can do it anywhere.
