Fifteen-year-old Troy suffers from gynecomastia, or excess male breast tissue. Plastic surgeon Dr. Elliot Jacobs performs a procedure to remove nearly 2 pounds of fatty breast tissue and create a normal, flat chest for Troy.

Gynecomastia Surgery for Men Dr. Travis Stork: One of the most embarrassing problems affecting teenage boys and man is a condition called Gynecomastia also known as enlarge breast. And Troy is just 15 years old and decided to undergo surgery to transform his body. Female: My son Troy is started going to puberty. He is started developing breast. Troy: I’m bullied all the time “you have bigger boobs than my girlfriend, stuff like that.” Inside, it does hurt. Female: We found plastic surgeon that specialized in this particular situation. Elliot Jacobs: This is a condition called Gynecomastia which is the enlargement of the male breast. When they are completed with surgery, this entire profile and it will be nice and smooth. Troy: After this procedure, I’m expecting my life to be better because I won’t have to hide. Elliot Jacobs: Okay? Here we go. I’m going to do the liposuction first and that’s the thick solid breast tissue which will probably have to be cut out surgically. Then I’m going to make an incision just at the edge of the areola and if you look carefully, you will see that there’s a lot of white and that’s the breast tissue. So, that’s what he looks like now. He is much flatter. So, now I’m just going to saw them up. Alright, I’m done with this side. So, we’re going to reverse. So, here we’re going to start to dissect the gland out. What I’m doing now is just sawing up the nipple and moving through in a few minutes. When he first came in he had a mount and then he had constricted breast sticking up. And what we’ve done is to recreate a normal masculine chest for a 15 year old boy.
