Hi this is Doctor Debra from topworkoutsecrets.com. And today, I'm in the kitchen and I'm going to show rally quick, easy refreshing green smoothie recipe. It's especially good right after you’ve workout which I've dine this morning. On a hot summer day when you’re sweating, it's just really refreshing and full of nice water and minerals to replenish your system. So this is really simple. It's called the green melon smoothie. It consists of one whole cantaloupe. So this is peeled and chopped up. That all came in. the amount of water is one to two cups. I tend to like mine a little thick. So I may not even put in the whole cup and then just romaine lettuce. Iceberg lettuce doesn’t really have any nutrition like romaine. It has lots of good minerals and it's just really nice. You can use up to a whole head. Sometimes I'll start with less because I an always add more greens but you can't really take then back out. So I'll make sure it's not too strong. Blend it. Okay there you have the lid for the vita mix. Put that back on and then you can assume we’ll make a lot of noise for a minute. You won't be able to hear me talk. I use a vita mix, any blender will do. I already had a vita mix before. So that’s what I get to use. And start out low and I usually only take it up to mid speed until things are going pretty good and then I take it all the way up to high. Go back and forth. And even with that it's still for me a little too thin. If you want it colder, you can always add some ice cubes. We give it a taste. That’s pretty good. It’s pretty good just like this. Put it in a pretty glass. Okay, see it makes plenty of the sippy glass. It holds a lot. I had to drink some before I can add some more. You can see that it's really, really simple. It's very refreshing and light. It's a really way to replenish yourself, refresh yourself and it's filling and yet really light on your system and you get to eat a whole cantaloupe and still is very low in calories too. The only thing which you can add would be a little bit dolce if you want. It's pretty sweet. If you want some salt, salty taste with it you can add a little bit of dolce. Dolce is a seaweed. It's kind of kind kelp but not mere as strong taste. It gives you that salty taste and full of iodine and other trace minerals for you. So that’s another option that you could use to kind of give it that salty feel. You can also use a little bit of celery. I'm not a big fan of celery so you won't see me using me that very often.
