Good Candidates for Vaginal Rejuvenation I would recommend vaginal rejuvenation surgery for the women who do have the lack of sensation, who do want themselves and their partner to feel more friction when they are having relations. And I think it’s an ideal procedure to add on to those who are having pelvic reconstruction. For example, if you have a bladder prolapse that you are getting fixed along with, let’s say, a rectal prolapse or a hysterectomy, this is a perfect time to add this surgery on, although it’s elective. It’s a great elective procedure to perform during this major non- elective reconstruction such as pelvic prolapse. Most pelvic prolapses are elective but sometimes it gets so severe it’s not really considered elective. If something is falling out and is visible and it’s causing a great deal of discomfort, maybe that’s not so elective at all. It’s actually a functional thing you want to fix. And during this procedure, you can combine the reconstructive pelvic surgeries with the vaginal rejuvenation and also put in the labiaplasty surgeries in there to make the entire pelvic region appear more pleasing to the eye and also function better.
