Hi, this is Doctor Debra and this morning I'm here with a really simple green smoothie. I needed it to be quick so I can get out the door and get to work. And so I pick something really quick and simple and yet delicious and it is full of nutrition, nice and sweet. It's called the Gone Bananas green smoothie because it's really simple that it's just three to four bananas. The big thing with bananas is people tend to eat them when they’re not quite ripe. So you want them to look ugly on the outside, a lot of brown speckles and a little bit soft. So I started munching on this one. It's going to have three to four. It's going to be 3 ½. Even these actually could use some another day or maybe just about perfect. So it can't get too much simpler than this, pretty quick and easy to peel a few bananas. Put some in the blender and put in about a cup of water. All right, get those bananas are blended up. And I just realized this one is going to be even sweeter than normal because I had started a project last night that I didn’t finish. It has some ripe cranberries in there. So it has some extra vitamin C in this one with ripe cranberries. This is just purple kale, curly kale. Use any kind of greens. This is what I have on hand. I forgot my tasting spoon. Let’s see if we can have more greens in there. I think I will put a couple more stalks of kale, the more greens the better. But I usually taste to see if I can put in more because they’re the energizing part. The bananas are the calorie part, the sugars part and gives you some good vitamins. But the most of the minerals and whatever a little co-factors and micronutrients that the greens have there, that’s what really gives you the energy and the vibrancy and really for me at least it gives. That’s what balances out my day and just keeps me going. They seem to be the secret ingredient. All right, so have another taste. That’s good. That is just about perfect. I'm going to get my to-go cup. It's going to my to-go cup not to a fancy cup this time. It's almost like a banana milk shake. It's really good. So, tat’s our really quick, easy one. It's great for starting your kids up because it's nice and sweet and almost everybody loves bananas. People always think of potassium, it does give you potassium. It gives you actually some vitamin. It has some B6 so you get some B vitamins in there and then all the minerals in your greens. So you're good to go. This is my to-go meals for the day, my breakfast and lunch. And so see what you think about, Gone Bananas and give that one a try. I think that's a really easy one to incorporate and will hit your sweet tooth as well.
