How big is the biggest star in the universe? Our home planet is one of the smaller planets in our solar system. Jupiter is the largest and has a volume of over 1,000 earths. Our closes star, the Sun is known as the Yellow Dwarf, but still has a volume of over 1 million earths. There are many stars more massive than the sun, such as Sirius, Pollux and Arturus which make our home planet look robin microscopic. There are stars in the night sky that are of truly frightening proportions. They are Rigel, Aldebaran, Betelgeuse and the mighty Antares who is volume is greater than amount of our sun by several hundred million times. We may just be a pebble in the sky, but we are humans. We are explorers, and our journey has just begun.
