Dr. Mark Savant: Hi, I'm Dr. Mark Savant and welcome to Savant MD. Today's Wellness Tip is about "How to get Started Exercising". We all know that regular physical activity is good for the heart, blood pressure, muscles, well being and more. But if you haven't been active how do you get started. Once you have been clear by your doctor to get started exercising, the best thing to do is to walk. What I tell people who come to see me is that they can walk for a 30 minutes straight at least three times a week. When they do walk, they should walk at varying speeds, really more then a stroll. You should walk like your lead for something. So remember walk for a thirty minutes straight three times a week.
