Get Moving with Yoga Get ready, for a wonderful relaxing ten minutes of yoga stretching. Yoga is a great form of relaxing and energizing at the same time. Yoga incorporates flexibility, strength and balance of both the body and the mind. There are many variations of yoga but all centered around the common theme, breath, postures and focus. So let’s begin in our mountain pose, fan your finger’s palms facing out, stand nice and tall and we’ll begin with our Pranayama breathing. You’re going to inhale through the nose and exhale through the nose keeping the breath internal. Do it again inhale freely and exhale, open that little airway in the back of your throat continue to breath that your are paced. Inhale and exhale, feel those lungs, great job and just keep on going. Inhale, one more big deep breath and then we’ll add a little arm movement right here and lets go ahead and inhale as the arms come up, slide head not to wake up the neck, good, exhale back down, keeping that breath internal. Inhale, fan the fingers and let the energy just flow right out your finger tips. Exhale and this time we’ll continue on, go ahead inhale up, exhale into cheer pose, bring those arms forward sitting to that imaginary chair, nice job, go ahead and lift through the chest and heart, nice long spine, put the weight into the heels and wiggle the toes and breathe. Inhaling up preparing for tree pose, exhale open your branches take your right foot to the inside calf or knee and balance and breathe. Go ahead and root that heel into the earth. Feel tall and balanced and let’s remove that foot. Take it behind you into crescent lunge you’re on your toe, go ahead sweep it up and come up and over an imaginary beach ball. Go back as far as it’s comfortable for you and just balance and hold and continue to breathe and releasing back up to mountain pose. Nice job!
