Regular exercise has been shown to boost immunity and lower your risk of getting sick. But if you’re not careful, you could pick up a nasty infection at the gym. One study from the Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine found out that a cold viruses were significantly more common on weight equipment than cardio machines. But experts say that all gyms services like sits or yoga mats can harbor germs. De-germ your gym routine by wiping off all exercise equipment before and after you used it. Try not to touch your face between activities. Use a towel to wipe up sweat. And if you’re really anal bring your own disinfecting wipes.
