Dina Prioste: Hi, I'm Dina Prioste and welcome to get exercised. I love multitasking, by doing one exercise that has many benefits all at the same time. I have to multitask because I just don't have the time. Micheal, the cat is not for dinner. Then you will love the half moon pose because it stretches and strengthens the legs and hips while also improving your balance and focus all at the same time. Starting similar to a triangle pose like we did before with one foot pointing directly to the front of the mat, you are going to take your front hand on either a block or a study book out in front of front peaking toes, maybe about six inches to your foot depending on your height, bending upfront knee take back hand to back hip and slowly pick the back weight off the floor. You can look at a point on the floor to help with your balance, you just got to start to open the top hip on top of the bottom hip. Make sure you are keeping the bottom toes pointing forward if they start to cave in you're not really doing the pose. So, even if that means coming in at little bit here. If you are going to feel like similar to triangle pose as if you are flattening your body against the law keeps something that energies through the back foot as if you are stepping up back foot to a law and a comfortable with the balance you can look to the side and look up to the left hand, you can take that left arm straight up and you can see arm here but that's what is happening. So, it's very similar to triangle pose, you can either practice this with you back flat against the law, or with this back foot pressing into the law. If you have the flexibility and hand strengthen by all means you don't have to use the law that just gives those little less flexibility a little more height so in that case you can bring your finger tips out of the hands to the floor. So, once you are comfortable in this pose just the basic pose balancing there is other things you can do to challenge yourself. One option, if I can stay here that will be great, one option is to take the arms over to frame your face and play with balancing here. Yahoo, I'm flying, you can do that or you can bend the top leg, grab that foot as you open up, see you get low quad, hip legs are stretched well every since I began practicing the half moon about a minute and half ago my mind has become more focused and I can sure feel this in my hips. Micheal, don't make mummy get out of this half moon and go over there. Strength, flexibility, balance, focus you can all of that for the price of one yoga posture.
