Audra: Better Fitness expert Andrea Metcaf hit the streets to find out what part of your body you want fine tuned, maybe it’s your arms or your tummy. She also shows us a few easy steps to get there in today’s ask Andrea. Andrea: You know fitness can happen anywhere. We’re on the streets of New York finding out how people make their lives better. Male: I will do anything to save that melting out. Andrea: You don’t do anything. Male: No, I just have a good metabolism. Andrea: A good metabolism, you know what when you get a little bit older, it’s going to make up. Male: That’s what I’ve been I’ve been hearing. Andrea: So, why don’t I show you a few exercises that you can do. Three exercises that you can do everyday. Male: Okay. Andrea: All right. First exercise, it’s going to be a squat. Are you ready to do this with me? Put your hands out in front. And we’re going to just sit back and stand up. Okay, give me five of those. Ready? [Demonstration] Andrea : Nice job! Five jumping jacks ready? Male: Ready. Andrea: Let’s do it. Go! [Demonstration] Andrea: We’ll we just made your life a little bit better. You get a little bit of exercise? Male: Yes, I was good. Andrea: Thanks for coming over. Male: No problem. Andrea: You have a baby. You’ve got to get in shape. Let me show you a couple of exercises that you can do with your baby. First up, now you're holding your perfect position. Take your feet real nice and wide and we’re going to go down and we’re going to do some squats or plies. Hold it right in front, good toned back down and open. What’s your little one’s name? Seymour: Brooklyn. Andrea: Brooklyn? Oh perfect for New York. Let’s go down to that five times Brooklyn, she’ll like this. [Demonstration] Andrea: And I want you to take her down and then lift her straight up over your head. Can you try that? Ready? [Demonstration] Andrea: Good job Seymour. She was just like “I'm not quite sure about that one”. And I noticed you were sitting over here taking a break. Let me show you a couple of exercise you can do while you're on the chair. Okay, first exercise, scoot forward, put your hands on the edge of the chair, and you're going to go down and up. Bend those arms five times. How does that feel. Male: Great. Andrea: Good. That helps build your upper body. Now, I want you to hold it right there and I wanted you to walk your feet outward and lift your hips up. Walk your feet that way and lift your hips up as high, nice and down and do that again four more times. This helps build your butt or back side, works your abs and your glutes. Can you feel that? Make: Yeah, I feel it. Andrea: One more, one more, one more, good job. Have a seat. So while you're sitting down, you can get some exercise in.
