Why is it important to be physically active with diabetes? Physical activity and exercise is important for everyone whether you have diabetes or not. But in particular, having diabetes puts us at risk particularly for cardiovascular disease and other complications. The goal of living with diabetes is to live actively and live well. Exercise and physical activity, as well as good diet and weight management are all important components of living healthfully with diabetes.
