Why is fish oil important? Dr. Ann Kulze: Fish oil is just a no brand or supplement when it comes to getting the all important Omega-3. Omega-3 is this you know its superstar essential nutrient is the darling of the healthy fat world, it is critically important for cardiovascular health, controlling information of the body and for brain health. And we know that the average Americans is willfully deficient in Omega-3 fats as result of modern food technology and modern agricultural practices so it really is again a no brainer for the average healthy person to supplement there diet with fish oil is just a super convenient, super easy, super potent way to bring in awful amount of Omega-3. Official supplement is when the fats is going something out there and they’re everywhere, you say will oh there so many on the shop I don’t which one should I pick. This is one of the place I really did recommend that you go for the higher quality, typically the bit more expensive supplement why? You are going to get safety potency and quality. Safety, potency and quality if you go with you know sort of more the pharmaceutical grade, molecule distilled brands again they are available over the counter. The other I like the pharmaceutical grade and molecule distilled is that if you use that as directly on the bottle you are going to be getting that are recommend where is you didn’t— my sister coming and said oh I found you know is this wholesale place I found this fish oil like really great like $5 per for you know 10 months supply and I said well how much the DHA and EPA in there? And it was like this will need you to take about 12 a doses a day to make it difference. So again, if you go for the high quality brands you will get the dose that you need and usually one or two capsules or typically two capsules. The everything about the high quality brands is you are going to get less of the potential side effects like the belching, the fish burps some people worry about the deficient taste of the mouth. You are not going to get it if you use this high quality brands and another source of safe gourd against that is to take it frozen, keep it frozen and believe it or not when you take it, it will not really tow until its low enough down to GI tract that you can have those potential side effects. So fish oil I do think is a wonderful very important supplement, I do recommend it for the average healthy adult.
