Dr. John A. Schnorr: I think they should first come and see either their OBGYN or a reproductive endocrinologist who specializes in Infertility. Just to be educated about what options are available to help them, what evaluation is recommended and what treatment options are available, just get educated first and then go home with your spouse and figure out you even want to do this or not, you are willing to doing extra, you are willing to doing extra, you are willing to do blood work, how much money you want to spend during this, how much time do you want to devote to this. The one thing I would say is that if you are going to seek infertility treatment with a sub specialist, I think you should see a board certified Reproductive Endocrinologist, that's somebody who has done extra training in Infertility and done his or her board certification to prove adequate training and testing and that could be found on the American Board of Obstetrician and Gynecology website will give you directions as to how to find if they are board certified or you can just call and ask that Center to ask him if they have been board certified.
