Hi, I’m Dr. Pam Peeke. Let’s talk about money. What’s a doctor doing talking about money? Because I want you to make the health-wealth connection. Or more importantly, I want you to make the wallet-waistline connection. If you don’t have the financial reserves to be able to live long and live well, guess what happens, you fall off the wagon when it comes to self care and uh-oh, here comes that belly again. More importantly, if you don’t have the money it takes to be able to pay for your sneakers, you’re not taking that walk. That’s what this metaphor is all about. It’s all about planning for now and for the future, banking those dollar reserves so that you can afford to buy healthy food, so that you can afford that gym membership, and to also live in a safe environment within which you could take that walk in the part. If you put it all together, what do you have? You have the health-wealth connection. Make that connection today because that is the fundamental basis of being financially fit to live.
