Hi everybody! I'm Melanie Raposo and welcome to Mommy's Minute. Fertility and diet go hand-in-hand. There are certain foods that can increase the women's chances of getting pregnant. Organic food, whole wheat, fruits and vegetables all contain lots of vitamins and minerals that are crucial for conception and fetal development. Protein sources such as meat and poultry help maintain healthy levels of iron. It's also a good idea to eat fish with low mercury level such as salmon because it's an excellent source of omega 3, which helps boost fertility and heart health. It's also important to incorporate a lot of calcium and fiber new diet and drinking 6 to 8 glasses of water a day is important when trying to get pregnant.
