EmpowHer Is it rare for female physicians to care for professional sport teams? Dr. Kathy Weber, M.D. Director of Women’s Sports Medicine at Rush University Medical Center It’s uncommon. The tradition has been male physicians taking care of professional teams but we’re breaking in as females and starting to take care of the professional male teams.
