Jennifer Matthews: Mary Jane Mason is looking for a change. Cosmetic Surgeon Lisa Donofrio can offer Mary Jane something other than a facelift. She will use Mary Jane's own fat to restore her face to the way it looked ten years ago. Dr. Lisa Donofrio: The major change in the aging face is loss of volume due to loss of fat, but I believe there are also areas that have excess fat, so the face becomes relatively unbalanced. Jennifer Matthews: During each surgery, which takes less than an hour, she uses about a tablespoon of fat to smooth out what she calls the hills and valleys of the face. Mary Jane Mason: It appeals to me because I know that I will look younger and I will look natural. Jennifer Matthews: These before and after pictures show the results. This is 46 year old Kerry. She's a mother of five. They range from 27 years old down to 22 months. She says a youthful appearance is necessary. Kerry: You can cover up your body as your body ages, but your face is what you see everyday and what everyone else sees. Jennifer Matthews: Kerry's had six fat transfers so far and loves her new look. Kerry: This whole part, over the last year, has been pulled up because I really was getting the basset hound look, you know, getting that droopy look. Jennifer Matthews: Now, she's feeling more like she did when she was a mom the first time. This is Jennifer Matthews reporting.
