Dr. Jordan Lipton: You know for both types of diabetes it's essential. I think the spouse needs to know what is healthy to eat and very often in my practice for Type 2 diabetes and Type 1 diabetes but especially for Type 2 diabetics I will have the newly diagnosed diabetic and his or her spouse meet with their dietician to go over dietary changes, reducing dose of feeding a diabetic and I will also suggest that they encourage the diabetic spouse to dedicate some time each day for exercise to lose weight, walking the dog or whatever and I think that's probably the best you need to love the family there is no doubt. My kids know you know that what I am not supposed to eat, what I am supposed to eat they of course will still leave the junk stuff but they don't try not to do when I am around so that they don't feel like making me jealous or whatever and I think that's good today that they cognizant of that and I think spouse is definitely need to be cognizant of that.
