Dr. Drew Ordon: One of the most common request, I get everyday from patients is how to look refreshed without a face lift. Plastic surgery isn't for everybody, but how do you decide if it's right for you. Bob was frustrated being told how tired he looked all the time, so he decided to take action. Bob: I am here today to have Dr. Nassif look at my eyes. I am concerned about bags under my eyes. People make comments to me like, Bob, you look tired or you feel okay? Female Speaker: After 40 years of marriage, I never really thought that we'd be sitting here and Bob would be going under surgery. Dr. Drew Ordon: So we are going to go ahead and start with the lower lids. So all I am doing now is using cautery to flatten the fat pocket. I am going to mark under his lid, the incision sign I am going to make. Dr. Guy G. Massry: It's interesting. I would say in the last ten years of my practice has shifted a mean about 10-15% men to maybe 25-30% men. Dr. Paul Nassif: The most important thing when we mark in the upper eyelids is they have to look very natural, and if you do it too high then it make the patient look too hollow. Currently we are putting little stitches in the lower eyelid skin. This is an elevator. It's going to lift off the tissue from his skull. So we are lifting off the tissue from the bone. We are going down just to the top part of his nose. So we are putting the endoscope underneath. The most typical part of the procedure now is to setting the tissue away from the nerves without injuring the nerves. Now after we do this, then we'll start to -- I am going to secure the eyebrow again, it's called the fixation. This the little implant and it's going to actually attach to the tissue, these little folks. So I am going to slide it into the small incision, and there we'll let go. We are closing the scalp incisions with a non-absorbable stitch, which we'll take out in about a week. Just finished the surgery, went great. The eyebrows, the upper eyelids, everything is very symmetric. The eyelids look fantastic and I am very, very pleased with result. Dr. Drew Ordon: All on a day's work, right? Well, I have Bob and his surgeons, facial plastic surgeon and my colleague, Dr. Paul Nassif, Dr. Guy Massry, oculoplastic specialist, welcome everybody. Bob: Thank you. Dr. Guy G. Massry: Thank you. Dr. Paul Nassif: Thank you. Great to be here. Dr. Drew Ordon: Alright, Bob. I want everybody out there to look at your before picture, okay? Bob: Okay yeah. Dr. Drew Ordon: And now we are going to look at you today. We are going to compare the two and see how you look four months later.
