Exudative Diarrhea Dr. Travis Stork: Third type of diarrhea is called exudative. That’s a really -- when there’s a lot if inflammation and you can see blood and pus in your diarrhea, and if you got a lot of blood that’s the reason to go see medical care, because that can be a sign of an inflammatory condition that’s both infectious or could be inflammatory bowel disease.
