Male Speaker: How do I establish intermediate goals for weight gain? Taras Raggio: To establish intermediate goals begin by subdividing your long-term goals and to get the intermediate goals. Do not try to start off your weight gain program going from little or no exercises, exercise to completing a marathon, that's just next to impossible. You can also further evaluate your goal establishment by using the acronym SMART and SMART stands for a specific and measurable, attainable results in a time oriented or other say trackable goals. For example instead of saying I want to eat better, a more specific goal would be I want to eat nine servings of fruit and vegetables everyday and intermediate goal of that would be to I want to incorporate 3 or 4 servings of fruit and vegetables into my daily eating plan.
