EP92: Tree-zer (Pilates on Fifth Video Podcast) Video

Katherine: Welcome to the Pilates on fifth and ultimatePalatesworkouts.com video Podcast, I am Katherine. Kimberly: And I am Kimberly. Katherine: Today’s exercise is Tree-zer, combination of 3 under the former and 3’s are on the mat, hence Tree-zer. So we’ll start like we do the tree-zer with the arm over head, the legs are strongly adducted and parallel, ribs are nice and close those ribs are very nice, and we will begin inhale not the chin head and shoulders come up start rolling through one leg comes up, now because its like the tree, you can actually scrunch and get use of nice hand string stretch here. Inhale and then exhale rolling down, see you want roll through you can actually walk down the leg like you would do in the tree and everything comes down. And now the other leg inhale roll up and then exhale as you do a nice stretch here. Take another inhale you really feel the stretch like this one little window and then exhale. Rolling through the small of the back walking down the leg the arm is reach over head, so couple of things that we don’t want to do. Go ahead and continue. You don’t want to pull on the leg too much, when you come up you don’t want to use that to leverage, and you don’t want to when you attempt to get a hamstring stretch to roll back in to the all scrunched area, that’s not a good work. Really And then exhale rolling down you find out one side is going to be a little bit smoother, I think Kimberly is little bit smoother on her left side, when her left leg lift, so that’s totally normal. Reaching up if you want to be really meant to your calf muscle you can flex it put it in the top for extra little stretch there. And then rolling down, really use the leverage of your leg to get a little bit more around and especially if you have we have a little problem with this exercise that will help with that.
