How to Perform the Teaser with Infinity in Pilates

Kimberly: Welcome to the Pilates on Fifth Podcast. I am Kimberly. Katherine: And I am Katherine. Kimberly: Today's exercise is Teaser with the Infinity. Some people call it Figure 8, but eights go this way and the infinity sign goes this way and infinity is a better image I think, it's a little more torturous. Yes, so you will have your client start lying supine and the arms are reaching overhead only as far as the ribs can stay close. So, there is no popping of ribs. I am going to come to my knees here, so that I have a better view. Inhale lift the arms start with the head and shoulders and come all the way up, arms are reaching by the shins and then we exhale, the arms go one way, legs go the other and inhale up. So your arms and your legs are making the two sides of the infinity shape. Exhale, inhale the center, exhale, inhale the center. So, arms and legs swoop down and come up around, down and up around, just one more so we don't kill her. Up around, then to finish, arms reach by the ears and then exhale rolling down through the spine and the legs lower. And that is Teaser with Infinity.
