Can a pregnant woman undergo endovenous laser treatment for varicose veins? Dr. Luis Navarro: Usually if you are pregnant, we do not perform any procedure in veins. We only will perform it if it is an emergency due to the location of the vein or if the vein bleeds. If not, we’ll wait after delivery. Six weeks after delivery, the veins, which have become really engorged during pregnancy come back to size, and then what’s left after six weeks then, yes, we’ll treat.
