Speaker: Is there a diet more effective for weight loss? Dr. William McCarthy: As mentioned people are different and there is not one diet that I could puts every patient on and that they lose weight. Some people respond better to a low carbohydrate diets. Some people respond to low calories, some people respond to a low a fat diet and it really goes down genetics, medical conditions, there is also even down to personal preferences. So we really can't say that this diet is going to work in every individual, what we have do sometime a trial in there. Sometimes we have to look in a person's metabolic profile and look at their past history they really get at idea of the most appropriate diet that will help them loss weight.
