Eating Low with Amy Your guide to low carb, low cal, low fat cooking! Episode 23: The Eating Low Coffee Shop Hi! This is Amy and welcome to Eating Low. Today, I'm going to go over some of the options for coffee. Now if you want the best weight lose, just stir clear of coffee, the Splendas, the sugar free creamers, the DaVinci syrups all that. Really the fastest way to lose weight is to carve that out but I can’t, I’m a coffee addict as you can tell by my current machine, my espresso machine and my whole little coffee set up which isn’t bad like there’s more in here. If you could see inside this cabinet there’s one, two, three, four , five more of these. So I got like a Starbucks thing going on here. I’m simply a coffee addict. I bought the caramel Davinci. I personally, I’m not a big fun of the Davincis but a lot of people like them. You could put this on in the egg whites to make like the custard you just add these to like egg beaters and add some Splenda if you want and it makes like a sweet almond. This can go on coffee to but I’m not fan of this. I keep it around but I don’t use a whole lot. I tried the Splenda flavor blends and this is mocha flavor. I thought may be it would give me like a more mocha taste and I’m not a fan of this either. This were good in a pinch and I use them a lot in evil protein cookies that I want like a chocolate flavor but, Splenda and coffee for me it doesn’t work. But that’s a another product that I have that I keep out. What I rely on and what I found and what I use is the coffeemate sugar-free hazelnut creamer and it is one tablespoon 15 calories and one carb. So that’s not too bad, it’s much better than using creamer or cream just put a little bit. I use less than a tablespoon. I’m doing like a couple little pours so it’s probably like more like a teaspoon. And then this was so great so about the current machine, I'm going to pop up one of these because I want a stronger coffee and I have had a rough day and I need a coffee and I actually run out of this one. This is also had a tea so if you like tea, I’m a big fan of the current machine because you just pop that in, stick down over there and then it makes your coffee for you and it’s a nice – it always comes out the same, it’s just a really great way to make coffee. You’re not making a pot, it’s just sitting there. If you're just one person you just want one cup and they have really cool flavors. I have caramel, vanilla, I’ve got mocha nut fudge. I got the golden French toast which smells like French toast and they’re zero carbs there. I live on these things and there's my coffee brewing, isn't that cool. So once I get on maintenance I’ll I probably go back to having espresso. I stopped using my Starbucks machine because it just – I like having my espresso with half and a half. I can’t remember what the name is they have a fancy, a higher name for that, espresso with half and a half. But I'm just trying to cut that out when I was on my dieting and stuff. So this poor guy has collected the dust and I got this instead. Thanks for eating low.
