Audra Lowe: In the battle of the bulge there really isn't any reason to break the bank these days anymore you just have to think outside the gym. That is fitness expert Andrea Metcalf has a great work out that you could do on the cheap and it's all in today's Getting Fit. Andrea Metcalf: You know I always believe with working with the best, so I brought in celebrity fitness trainer Sidney Wilson, we are in Central Park and we're trying to figure out what can we do with people on an average day, get a workout in where they make it to the park. Sidney Wilson: Definitely, basically doing a squat, we can actually show you a little bit, basically pull your legs shoulder width apart. As we go down, we are actually going down, we are squeezing, I like to be my arms away. Andrea Metcalf: What do I squeeze then? What am I squeezing? Sidney Wilson: You are squeezing your quads. Andrea Metcalf: Oh! Okay. Sidney Wilson: I could do this all day. When we actually squeeze those quads and when you come up, we come up then we go straight back to the glutes. Andrea Metcalf: I like that. So you know, you are put you kind of run the round, how can you use parts of the park into your workout, how can I incorporate that? Sidney Wilson: Well I mean even if we demonstrate this little thing on the rocks, I mean everything that you will actually see we can actually do step up to the rocks. Andrea Metcalf: I like it, step ups and what muscles with those be working? Sidney Wilson: Quads, hamstrings, glutes, everybody wants to target the legs, even a lot of guys like fear those legs, they get the upper body done, everybody like the lower body as well. Andrea Metcalf: Well, as women also like our core inner arm, so what else can we be doing? Sidney Wilson: Push ups, easy anywhere! Want to try a little bit? Andrea Metcalf: Alright we are getting down doing some push ups, let's hit it. Sidney Wilson: Let's see what's going up. My push ups are like a lot different. So as we go down, we are going down, when you come up actually extend your arm up. Now we are working with abs. So like again back down, ups at arm, nice. You are still squeezing everything abs, glutes, hamstrings. Now a little bit advanced ups a leg ups at arm. Andrea Metcalf: Oh yeah, I like that one, that one is definitely the coolest there. Sidney Wilson: Yeah, very good, yeah I like it, I like it. Andrea Metcalf: Push through it. Sidney Wilson: Push through it, last one. Andrea Metcalf: alright let's take it up here. Sidney Wilson: Good job. Andrea Metcalf: You know you are right! You can't get afraid to get down and dirty. Sidney Wilson: Down and dirty love it. Look at this.
