Speaker: Will I lose weight if I go on a vegetarian diet? Jeannette Bessinger: It's possible that you'll lose weight if you go on a vegetarian diet, but again that is bio individual. One caution that I have that for people who are trying to lose which trying to go vegetarian in order to lose weight, is that you need to make sure to adequate amounts of protein. It's a very easy to eat too many starchy grains and things like that, which can cause your weight to increase. So you need do it carefully in a balanced way.
