I write the Dear Abby column. My professional name is Dear Abby. I write a column that was founded by my mother, Pauline Phillips, many years ago. And my connection to Alzheimer’s is that my mother got it. When Your Mother was first experiencing Alzheimer’s disease symptoms, did she discuss it with you? She never talked to me at any great length about it. And it wasn’t until she was in the middle stages that one day she indicated to me that she was having some problems. And I tried to reassure her as best as I could.
