My name is Valeria and I’m a three-year cancer survivor of thyroid cancer. I had trouble swallowing, food would get stuck in my throat and I actually had an Adam’s apple which women aren’t really supposed to have. So I went to an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor and he did a fine needle aspiration where they stuck the needle in your little throat and pull it out, and it came back that it possibly could be cancer. It wasn’t positive, it wasn’t negative. So then, he referred me to an endocrinologist.
