Speaker: What kinds of different diets are there? Dr. William McCarthy: This is something we anyone can walk into a book store, their entire aisle of books on diet. What we are talking about Atkins diet, disowned, the south beach diet. Every one of these diets has a role we can go on the web, we can see new diets. Everytime we checkout at the glossary store, we see a brand new diet to loss 30 pounds in the next month, some of these diets work, some of them don't. In general most diets have an approach of either restriction of calories perhaps, some may restrict in nutrient perhaps carbohydrates. Some may restrict to specific nutrient like starch, fatty foods or perhaps sugar. Each one of these diets has a role in each individual person, because there is no one way to really approach diet in each individual. Every person is different.
