Question: What should I do if I think I'm depressed? Dr. Ziad Nahas: There is number of resources in terms of self survey that are easily found on the web. There are simple questionnaires about consistency of the symptom and so far that now people can easily access to it, but obviously the diagnosis should be done by professional whether its just a general practitioner 80% of depression is treated by the general practitioner and as we said if you have depression in first time around you have very high chances of responding to a drug or a psychotherapy or a combination. So that is really important to feel free to go there and if the stigma about mental health professionals in there than talking to GP and recognizing that could be the first step. It's simpler to say no you don't have as then to miss out on the opportunities of potentially getting the help you need.
