Denise Austin's Daily Dozen Fitness Plan Travis: Well, Denise Austin, she’s no stranger to women overwhelmed by the weight loss struggle. She has a new book called the Daily Dozen and it offers a lot of fitness secrets but I’m dying on what is the concept behind the book. Denise: Well, first of all, it's simple and easy because everybody doesn’t have time for exercise. So what I did is developed 12 easy exercises to do in 12 minutes everyday and a different workout each day of the week. So by the end of the week, you’ve hit it all, 640 muscles from head to toe to firm, to tone, to really jumpstart that whole metabolism. Travis: Did Ana in particular, did she need something unique for her to get motivated or? Denise: She needed a plan and everybody needs a plan. You wouldn’t build a home without an architectural plan. So, I put together a plan for everybody, a really good plan to tell you exactly what to eat. So, it’s an eating plan. Twelve different foods everyday to eat that would give you energy that will give you health. You get a little carbohydrate. You get protein. You get good healthy fats. So, it’s really healthy for you and I tell you what to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner and healthy snacks. Travis: She put Ana on the Daily Dozen finish plan for two weeks and believe it or not, it inspired her to lose the weight she wanted to lose. Take a look. Ana: I’ve had challenging week ahead. I’m glad I made the decision and I feel so good about it. Denise: Welcome to your first day of the Daily Dozen. Today, we’re going to start with some punches; go into some great cardio blast exercise. Remember to keep a log of your veggies, fruits, healthy grains, healthy fat and lean protein plus your water. Ana: I had the cilantro lime chicken. It was really, really good but still hungry. It’s really hard, really hard. Denise: It’s day two and it’s time to firm up your arms, chest and shoulders and your abs. All you do is lift and lower the lane keeping that foot flexed really zeros in on leaping that rear. Ana: And I did my exercises today. It felt good to do that. The last thing I wanted to do this morning was workout, my legs are so sore, my butt, it’s sore. Denise: Very good. Ana: Day five of my diet, I don’t feel deprived. I don’t feel like I’m missing out on any food. Denise Austin: It’s time for you boot camp workout. Ana: Hello? Denise: Hi Ana, it's Denise Austin. Ana: Hi Denise. Reading your book has been the best thing in my life. Denise: Good! How many pounds have you lost? Ana: I’ve lost four pounds. Denise: Wow, that’s amazing. Ana: I’m so excited. Travis: —with Denise Austin, she’s been helping us out today.
