Debunking Ice-Cold Foot Bath for Weight Loss Dr. Travis Stork: But I do think we should give something a whirl. Dr. Jim Sears: Yeah. Dr. Travis Stork: If you guys are willing, a little ice cold food bath. Dr. Jim Sears: Oh, great. Dr. Andrew Ordon: Yeah, I-- Dr. Travis Stork: Let’s give it a try. Dr. Andrew Ordon: I did that yesterday. Dr. Andrew Ordon: You know Lisa I think I’d rather have your diamond massage. Dr. Lisa Masterson: Yeah, you know, I'm thinking about that too right now. Holy mackerel! Dr. Andrew Ordon: I hope you did -- I got a pedicure Jim. Dr. Lisa Masterson: Oh, I know. Dr. Travis Stork: Alright, I think we should do this all together, on three. Dr. Jim Sears: Okay, wait I'm ready. Dr. Lisa Masterson: Oh, that that. Dr. Travis Stork: So I want to emphasis to everyone in the audience and at home this is not a way to loose weight. We’re doing this more than anything for fun. Dr. Jim Sears: This is a scientific experiment. Dr. Travis Stork: It is. Dr. Andrew Ordon: I want to ground fat. Dr. Lisa Masterson: I don’t think this is going to make me lose weight. Dr. Travis Stork: No, alright. So on three. Dr. Jim Sears: Okay. Dr. Travis Stork: Audience can you count to three for us? Dr. Lisa Masterson: Oh, my God. Dr. Jim Sears: I love it. Dr. Travis Stork: Embrace it. Dr. Jim Sears: I can feel it working. I feel the brown fat coming pounds are flying off. Okay. Dr. Lisa Masterson: Yeah. Dr. Travis Stork: Well you're not going -- you're not going to, you got to sit back and enjoy it Jim. Dr. Lisa Masterson: Oh my God. Dr. Andrew Ordon: Look at him he’s like -- Dr. Jim Sears: Gosh, I can’t do it. Dr. Andrew Ordon: There's no problem at all. Dr. Jim Sears: It’s cold. Oh, gees it hurts, it hurts, it hurts. Dr. Travis Stork: So the reason we don’t recommend this to anyone at home is being in ice cold water, certainly an ice-cold bath water it can cause hypothermia and a lot of other problems. There are much better ways to loose weight being active, eating good food. Dr. Lisa Masterson: How can you stand that? Oh my God. Dr. Andrew Ordon: But we haven’t the last of the brown fat though. Dr. Travis Stork: We haven’t. Dr. Andrew Ordon: There is something to this brown fat stuff but -- Dr. Travis Stork: But it’s important that we’re not encouraging our viewers to go do this to lose weight. Dr. Andrew Ordon: You're going to get frostbite in your feet. Dr. Lisa Masterson: Yeah. Dr. Travis Stork: I'm kind of enjoying it.
