Host: What if a person lapses after he or she has quit drinking? Judith W. Cousins: When a person has stopped drinking for a while and they go back to drinking either having a slip which is a minor drinking relapse or a relapse is what you mean which can be more of a major significance, that person in my junction needs to what they say in a 12-step program start their day over which means they look at what they have done and they look at what they ve learned from going back to their drinking and then go back to their plans and then go back to their support group, then go back to counseling, but to resume those activities and those attitudes that they ve had that have kept them from drinking all this time.
