Couples Fitness Pact Audra Lowe: So what do you do when you make a New Year’s pact with your love one to stay fit, but somebody doesn’t keep up their end of the deal? Well Better’s Relationship Experts have some great advice and it’s all in today’s Ask Matt and Tamsen. Tamsen: Hi everybody Matt & Tamsen here coming to you from midtown Manhattan where yes, finally it looks like Spring is here. Matt: Spring has sprung, the grass is green I wonder where the birdies are. No that’s not how that goes. Tamsen: Alright, let’s get to your questions today. Our first question, this one comes from Sue. Sue says, “Dear Matt and Tamsen, on New Year’s Eve my husband and I made a deal to get in shape for the Spring. I worked hard but he doesn’t do anything. How can I remind him of our pact to get healthy as a couple?” Matt: I don’t think she should remind him at all. She should just become a little bit more active and get him out and about that’s really important. Tamsen and I loves to sit and watch TV we do it all the time, but then sometimes we look at each other and we’re like we need to get outside and start working out. Get him outdoors, little walks and things like that. It will make him feel better about himself. Tamsen: Yeah I think this is definitely easier. She lives on the east coast so what will be easy about it is, now that the weather is a little bit nice Sue you’ll be able to go outdoors and make it a settle kind of thing. Don’t make it like you have to do it. Make it like its all part of the day, going for walks, going running, going biking just getting outside. Matt: It’s a really good point. It’s not about the gym. Walk to dinner, walk to the park, walk to where you need to go. Don’t jump on the subway train or car, you know get there on your own two feet. Tamsen: I like the fact they made a pact as a couple that’s a nice thing to do. Matt: That’s what marriage is all about—couple! Pacts are great. Tamsen: Good way to keep the relationship fresh. Alright this is Matt and Tamsen coming to you from midtown Manhattan. If you have any questions send it our way we’re always here to answer them. Until next time. Audra Lowe: Well like Tamsen said, you can always count on them for answer for your dating and relationship questions. All you have to do is email them at askM&T@BetterTV.com.
