Interviewee: The long term solution is really going to be dietary and the dietary features that are important and there are importance to really understand is high fluid high fiber. And by high fluid I’m talking about 6 to 8 cups of liquid a day, by high fiber I’m talking about three or four and fruits every single day. I’m talking about changing the grains, the whole grains; specifically I have a recommendation that the child is start every single morning a lot with the high fiber cereal. Interviewer: What is the particular one that you accept? Interviewee: There are many you have to look on the side of the box if you go to the supermarket and anyone that has vibrant of fiber or more will be sufficient. Interviewer: Is the oatmeal is a good source? Interviewee: Oatmeal is the excellent source. Interviewer: And it will lower your cholesterol. Interviewee: And it lowers you cholesterol, all the high fiber will lower your cholesterol so the constipation I wouldn’t tell the parents who really need extra convincing is your body’s way of telling you that is something is fundamentally wrong. Not just in the fact that your stool is firm but patient who have high fiber diets there are epidemiologic studies that show this less common cancer, this less atherosclerotic heart disease and this less gallbladder disease and cholecystectomy or in patient who have high fiber diet. So, again the specific would be a high fiber cereal in the morning, you want to switch the white bread the whole wheat bread and you want to have a starch which is high fiber. So you want to switch white rice to brown rice which also has vitamins. You want to switch the white or yellow pasta to meat pasta, corn, barley, cuscus, lagoons they are all rich in fiber. Interviewer: Not one of them has advertising set this morning with the captions ago? Interviewee: What they usually have is the children have a whole grain cereal for breakfast, two caps of juice and water, some fruit with breakfast and then a fiber supplement. Fiber supplements would be council the newest one is a little bit better not because of any efficacy but simply because it’s less greedy and so the child who is finicky has most of them are will take it more regularly and that is daily fiber. And all of these are purchasable in the larger drugstore or the supermarket. Interviewer: Everybody should be checking these days. Interviewee: Well or just eating better help the foods themselves, it’s not, it’s no— Interviewer: Two ounces will workout at the only manual talks about that the— and if can’t if you have the high fiber diet.
