Interviewee: The stool is very soft. Interviewer: If a child coming home from a hospital and it seem urinate and stools and maybe a couple times get fad, what would give it a good advice for a parents when it’s still get occasional for that habit is passing it. Interviewee: The first is to increase the amount of fiber in the diet. Interviewer: Which can be done in the baby? How? Interviewee: Well in a baby it’s a little bit of different situation. Most babies are only on formula and some of the formula is can be workout depending to another. One can use juice or Karo syrup to help soften the stools and increase there milk. Interviewer: It’s called like Karo syrup is the brand name that we usually— Interviewee: And it comes in a light and a dark, I think the dark is better than the light. Is that true? Interviewer: The dark has extra fiber in it and the dark is what we should be using if for treating with constipation. Interviewee: If it’s a little all the child is occasionally constipate, what would you recommend for parent to do that point? Interviewer: You can use cilium seeds like mussel, you can use many fiber one of the commercially available fiber supplements. Interviewee: Is there any foods and say a little bit all the child should avoid to the constipated? Interviewer: Bananas are the big one. Interviewee: Is there any fruits that you would encourage in a normal diet that can help control? Interviewer: Yes, we encourage whole wheat bread, and fruits, vegetable. Interviewee: And a kind of cereal, are better than others? Interviewer: When we look at cereals and look to had at least three grams of fiber per serving. Interviewee: So the rule for adults and kids start in like clamps isn’t it? Interviewer: Yes. Interviewee: More fiber, more stool protection. Is that correct? Interviewer: That’s correct, although it’s often very difficult again kids to eat foods that we would like them to eat which are high in fiber. Interviewee: So other words if the kids are constipate in very early we want you to make check with your doctor to check if there is serious behind it that we should always realize constipation in many times is cause by everything that you mentioned before and we should be aware with that and good history is very important, is that correct?
