Speaker: What are some common dieting mistakes? Jeannette Bessinger: One of the most common dieting mistakes that people make is trying to lose too much weight too fast. If you cutback too strongly on the amount of calories that you eat your body can trigger its own starvation mode and it can hold on to that fat even more strongly. And other typical mistake that people make is giving up whole macro nutrition like fats or carbohydrates. For a good healthy balanced diet you need a balanced amount of each of those foods. And other common mistake that people make is not changing their lifestyle to reflect their changes in diet. You need to change your mind set if you're going to change the way you eat. So that it reflects that new you.
