Melanie Raposo: Hi everybody I’m Melanie Raposo and welcome to Mommy’s Minute. About 20% of newborn babies will develop colic. Colic is when a baby cries excessively for an extended period of time. Some possible reasons why babies develop colic include abdominal gas problems and an immature nervous system. Some tricks to help soothe the colicky baby include burping them frequently and changing feeding positions. Also rocking your baby has also proved helpful.
