Hi! I'm Peter Awando from Water-Flow Gutter Solutions and today I'm going to show you how to clean gutters. In this section, I will demonstrate to you how to effectively clean the debris and the leaves, the area that's around the downspout to make sure everything is clean. The first thing you want to do, once you're up the ladder, put on your gloves, that's very important. Gloves, as I said before, are going to protect you from cuts and scrapes and also from many stuffs that's in the gutter that you don't want to come into contact with. So once you have your gloves ready and to make sure you're still safe on the ladder, what you want to do is reach for the hole, the down pipe hole and move all the leaves away from the hole. Just do this gently, and slowly, you want to have to drop more leaves into the hole so you just push them slowly and easily away from the hole. As soon as you do that, all you do is just gutter them and drop them onto your bucket. Some leaves might fall off their roof, it's not a big deal, just clean them off later on. Just continue to do that and make sure that area is very clean, you don't want anymore leaves going back so. Take all the debris and keep tossing them onto the bucket. Another rule of thumb, you want to have the bucket close to you, you don't want it too far, you don't want to stretch too far away. So you want to have it at a reasonable distance whereby you can easily put the leaves, without having to stretch yourself or strain your back trying to reach it. Then gently just tap the elbow, just tap for a few seconds and make sure that everything is clean. Once this area is clean physically, what you want to do is move your bucket back and just lean over a little bit and just look down the hole and see if we can see anything. Chances are, if you push them everything away from the hole, everything will be clean and you won't have to worry about it. After you ensure that this area is clean, then you're ready to move to the next section. Now what I'm going to do in the next session, I will demonstrate to your how to effectively check whether the downspout is clogged and how to dismantle the downspout and make sure it's clean. Let's go.
