Hi, this is Doctor Debra from topworkoutsecrets.com. And I'm in a hurry, getting ready to go out on-call but I want to share this smoothie recipe with you because it's such a great combination. It's the cherry pineapple smoothie. So we've got pineapple. This is just fresh pineapple that I've just pick and cut the rind off. I'm just going to take it, chunk it up. You want to use about two cups worth but it's not exacting on the smoothies. We’re going to start with about that much, maybe another chunk. This is core and all because you want all that nice fiber from the core. I've got between one and two cups of cherries. Those are just some frozen cherries that I thawed. So I've got between one and two cups. And then I'm going to put in about ½ cup or so of water. And give that a whirl. Not only is this smoothie good tasting, it's very vibrant in color. All right, and then the important part, a head of romaine lettuce, organic romaine, I usually try and out the whole head in if I can. I don’t know if you can hear, I've got a puppy playing in the background. Okay, so I put about ½ or 2/3 in, give it a blend. And grab my taste tester. I always taste to see if I can add more greens. That’s really good. So I'm going to go ahead and put the rest of that head of romaine in. You can't even taste the greens at all. I usually use the lighter colored greens with the red berries, the red fruit otherwise you use the dark green and end up with something that looks like mud. It taste good but if you're trying to get good presentation or try to get some meals to try on, it's better if they don’t look like mud or something that come out like concrete. Anyway, if use the lighter greens like patchoy, the romaine, celery then you don’t have that issue. Yeah that’s great. That is such a neat combination. And so then we’re going to take a nice pretty glass. And you got your cherry pineapple smoothie. It's beautiful, deep burgundy smoothie, full of really great nutrition and sweet pineapple. It has lots and lots of vitamin C in the pineapple. And then you’ve got your antioxidants in the cherries. And then the greens have lots of minerals and your liquid sunshine, the chlorophyll. You know we talk about orange juice being liquid sunshine but chlorophyll once it's in here, it's liquid sunshine blended up and lots of vitamins and minerals in those greens as well. So I'm in a hurry today but I wanted to share that recipe with you. And I'm going to pour mine into a to-go cup so I can get going with my day.
