Hi! I'm Dr. Ross Carter. I'm a Board Certified Chiropractor in the State of Georgia and I've been practicing here since 1996. Another thing that we offer in our office is what's called cervical traction. When the neck gets compressed, because of whatever stress or you don't have a proper curve or various things that can happen. You can get a lot of tension or stress in the neck. We do what's called cervical traction. Now, what's nice about this cervical traction as opposed to say a weight is you're actually in control of what's going on. With the weight if it's starts hurting, it can be challenging. This you're just using your own body weight and pulling. So let me just show you. Yes, the assets are simple. You're going to basically put this on the back part of your neck. This goes on the top of your forehead or under your chin. I'm going to do it on the top of my forehead. You want to get close to the wall, because you don't want to lean backwards like this. So in essence, what you're going to do is you're going to keep your feet apart and you're just going to pretend like you're sitting in a chair. And you're just going to hold this position, just like this and then you come back up. In essence, what you want to do is, you want to want to pop open the disk in the neck. You want to do that repetitively and that will help to open up the disk in your neck and warm up the spine. I hope the information that I presented today was helpful. If you or someone you know is experiencing headaches, neck pain, back pain, sciatica, numbness, or tingling down the arms or the legs, even fibromyalgia or weight trouble, I'd like to help. All you have to do is just give my office a call at the number you see below us or you can actually email us or check out my website as you see on the information below.
