Louis Yuhasz: I’m Louis Yohasz, I’m the Executive Director of LouiesKids.org. What causes Childhood obesity? Louis Yuhasz: Anyone of us who picks up a newspaper or watches the news and understand that the causes of childhood obesity are pretty self explanatory almost. It’s a sedentary lifestyle and we’re putting in more than we’re putting out. We’re actually— we’re not working out in off for we are not moving enough and we are taking into many calories and we are not expelling enough calories. And then I think that that’s pretty, that’s the pretty cleft amount version of why kids are getting bigger. 20 or 30 years ago we were much physical people, of course within video games and within as much television our parents encourage just to be outside. They’re been many factors that have change to that and I think there is a increase fear of children being abducted. In fact it’s not true if you look the statistics they’re been no spikes in child abduction in the past 20 years. But what has changed is that we have this 24 hour news media that does report on these things and so we’re seeing those more often than we wants instead. But in fact it just not true, we are putting in or taking in more calories that we’re actually expelling in a day. So, it causes us to not have increase metabolism and then therefore gain weight.
