EmpowHer Asks: Can visitors see a patient after a lung transplant? Dr. Ross Bremner: Of course, the patient's family can stay with them. In fact, you know at many institutions there is nearby hotel were families can stay. Usually, in the hospital we have places were patients families can stay. At St. Joe's, once the patient is out of the ICU we actually have a day bed where someone significant either can stay with the patients 24 hours a day if they so wish to. In the ICU though it's -- we like to keep the family can visit at anytime, but usually do not sleep in the ICU.
