Melanie Raposo: Hi! Everybody I am Melanie Raposo and welcome to Mommy's Minute. While you breast feed, it's important to continue to follow the healthy diet you follow during pregnancy. Focus on foods that provide plenty of iron, calcium and protein. Also, drink plenty of fluids to ensure that you stay well hydrated while breast feeding. Try to drink at least 8-12 glasses of water a day. Lastly try to avoid or cut out all together things like caffeine and alcohol as they can get into your breast's milk and cause harm to your baby.
