Question: What is breast revision surgery? Dr. Lawrence Shaw: Breast revision surgery is one that obviously corrects previous breast surgery. There are complications from breast augmentation or breast lifting, namely capsular contracture where there might be scar tissue build-up around the implants causing one implant to change position. There can be other complications including implant rupture and so breast revision surgery basically corrects some minor or sometimes major complications that can occur after breast augmentation.
