Breast Removal Post Breast Cancer Diagnosis For the past 20 years, we’ve been in an in a world we can safely save women’s breast and by saving their breast, they do a equally as well as with the traditional mastectomy. And so depending on the patient, one of the fears they have or one of the questions that they have is “Doctor do I need to lose my breast?” I would say that a goon 60, sometimes 70% of the cases, women do not need to lose their breast and that we can treat them quite safely with what’s called breast conservation.
