Breast Reconstruction Success Story I mean it’s hard to narrow it down to one because there are so many faces that come back and say, “You’ve made a difference in my life”. Even the people that you think that have had a hard time, that have gone through a lot, that have had complications, somehow we stick with them and get them through it. I have had one lady in particular that I saw from southern Arizona that had had about 14 operations before she saw me. First time I saw her; she came in and said, “Do I have any hope?” And it’s tough to say that nobody has any hope and there’s always, there is. I mean there’s something that can be done, it may not be the right thing, may not be an easy thing but ultimately we came up with a solution and I still get a Christmas card from her. I still get phone calls from her. I don’t need to do anything more because she is essentially back to the state that I wanted her to be at. So it’s definitely gratifying. There’s nothing like it. I mean to make a difference in somebody’s life, to get them back through the whole recovery process, not only she is cancer free, but now she can wear clothes, she can go to the swimming pool without having to worry about prosthesis falling out. It’s fantastic.
